Green chilly/Jalapeno 5-6 nos
Onion (chopped finely) 2 table spoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 tea spoon
Peanuts 2 table spoon
Poppy seeds (khuskhus) 2 table spoon
Coconut powder 2 table spoon
Red chilli powder 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder 1/2 tea spoon
Garam masala powder 1/2 tea spoon
Tamarind Paste 1 tea spoon
Jaggery/Gur 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds 1/4 tea spoon
Black Mustard seeds 1/4 tea spoon
Curry leaves 5-6 nos
Coriander leaves 1 table spoon
Oil 2 table spoon

Recipe Credit

  1. Dry roast the peanuts,poppy seeds and coconut powder separetly.
  2. Once cooled, add in the blender to make a make a fine paste.
  3. Wash and cut in a slit the jalapeno /green chilly and de seeded. Dry pop up the green chilly.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds,black mustard seeds and curry leaves to crackle.
  5. Add finely chopped onion and saute for one mins. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  6. Add salt,turmeric powder,red chilly powder,garam masala powder,jaggery and tamarind water and mix well.
  7. Add poppy seeds and peanuts mixture and half cup of water and cook in a high flame.
  8. Add green chilly and coriander leaves and cook for two mins. Serve with biryani and naan.
