I am making use of millets these days in my recipes not only to add them to the blog but also to add a healthy touch to the diet in our day to day food.As today is NAVATATHRI’s first day thought of sharing with you all this easy and tasty jaggery based sweet recipe which can be offered to GODDESS for the celebrations.I have Arisi Vella Puttu already in my blog, but this one I made with my own innovation. The process is simple and the ingredients even simpler. Puttu is usually made on Fridays during Navarathri celebrations. You can try this for breakfast even as this is a filling and nutritious recipe.I also made a savory version, but will post that later.I also learnt that you can include sugar or palm sugar in place of jaggery,it’s entirely up to your choice.

The roasting process is most important here and it should be golden brown in colour. The one I made with little millet was fast and totally delicious.I was pleased with the outcome and this is going to a regular preparation in my kitchen. As it is gluten free rich in calcium, protein and rich in minerals,it is suitable for all age groups. You can make the same with other types of millets and enjoy the benefits.
